I 'm taking Lithium, Lamictal, and Zyprexa. Have taken quite a few antidepressants and they haven't worked. Proazac gave me mania. Ended up in the hospital twice r/t antidepressants. I know that I need something. I am so flat! Everything is so much effort! Going to the doc Wed. and I'm going to ask for something. Any suggestions?

Geodon has worked miracles in my life and its weight neutral so you wont gain wait on it, like, say, Seroquel

ask about abilify for a mood stabilizer and get off the lithium

I'm no doc but have been dealing with this for 12 years. It sounds like you are on enough mood stabilizers that a small dose of some antidepressant should be safe.

I have been put on Remeron. So far so good. I feel alive again. I've been not sleeping as well. I'm a bit worried. Can't afford to be in the hospital again. Must be careful! Everyone seems to say its sedating and makes you gain weight. I also started generic Aricept. Took it before, but it was too expensive. My memory is shot. It was bad before meds and is horrible now. We'll see.

Cymbalta is in my cocktail mix. It also does wonders for my lupus muscle pain.

My pdoc started me on an MAOI - Emsam. Lots of dietary restrictions but after 6 weeks or so and 2 dosage increases I think its starting to work.

I was on Cymbalta for years, did nothing for my depression but help with arthritis in my back and knees.

Started Remeron about a week ago 30 mg. I was feeling not right. Hard to explain. I cut back to 15 mg yesterday. Had a good day today. Now I am agitated and explosive. Yuck. I don't want to go back to flat and not having a personality!
