But this is a good place to find moral support and ideas while you work through the process of getting that diagnosis, etc. Gentle support while you sort. Welcome aboard.

The place to start is with a thorough physical exam. Glandular imbalance, like thyroid, can cause symptoms that are similar to BP. So take one thing at a time. I wish you peace.

At 15 it's hard to tell - you need to see a doctor for a diagnosis.

From what you have said (and what you have not said) personally I doubt it.

If your having irrational thoughts you might have borderline personality disorder (I have it) people with BDP do risky things their thoughts are very irrational they have mood swings from hell! You should see a doctor though

I would make an appt to see your doctor and be referred to a psychiatrist if your life is being impaired by this..... Symptoms can be treated while you figure out what's going on.... Big hug.....xo

Hi! You need to have your folks take you to a Psychiatrist for a Diagnosis. That said, at 15 you are to young for a BiPolar Disorder diagnosis. At 15 your brain is not fully developed, your frontal lobe, your pre-frontal cortex, the parts of your brain that would be chemically imbalanced and cause a BiPolar Diagnosis are not fully developed, as your too young.

There are other mental/emotional illness that can mimic some of the symptoms of BiPolar Disorder in younger patients. Until you go and see a Psychiatrist you won't really know what's going on, so ask your parents to take you in for a Diagnosis.
