Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Get your meds adjusted pronto. Start your crisis plan so you won't go full-blown manic. ((hugs))
The anger ebbs and flows with me. It is at its worst when I'm manic or extremely depressed.
Maturity helps, as does constantly reminding yourself to mellow out. Also, I had to quit booze for a long time, even though I wasn't much of a drinker. Just the one or two beers would lower my impulse control.
With regard to the anger, meditating helps, as does being aware of your feelings, the whole mindfulness thing. Also, for me, Aikido helped. Aikido is a defensive martial art. You learn how to handle violent attacks without hurting the attacker. It was actually a very good anger management tool for me.
Good luck!
