So my ex has been writing my daughter. I allowed her to read the letter and write him back with me reading and monitoring the letters.
Well I'm glad since apparently there's this secret he wants to tell my daughter but he knows I read the letters. I can't imagine what the secret is but it just pisses me off. I'm sure it's something stupid but why can't he just tell me? It's not like I could possibly think any less of him than I already do.
The other thing that angers me to no end is that he has two more younger children to another woman. That makes 6 children total to this ass hole. I feel like he threw my family away to start a new family that I'm sure got fucked up any how. Still it hurts.
I thought I was done being angry with him. I thought I was fine. But that was so easy to say when I had no contact with him. Now that he's writing every thing he says just pisses me off.
What pisses me off more is how he has no idea how much he hurt me. He knows he did wrong but the degree of what he's done is so great that I don't know if I can get over it.
I'm trying to let go of anger but I don't know how. I was fine why did he have to contact us? He should have just stayed away. He doesn't even deserve redemption. He doesn't deserve a second chance with us. He should have just let well enough alone.
I regret telling my daughter anything. I wish I would have just kept my mouth shut. But I really thought maybe the right thing to do was to let her write her father. I know she still loves him and that's fine.
But it's detrimental to my mental health. Every time I read a letter from him I feel hurt and anger.
How do you let go?

I'm not sure how old she is but at sometime she will make her own decision on what to do ... I know it hurts you to read those letters, but I think it's being a good parent myself. Like everyone says, just work at it and be there for both your daughter and yourself. When the time comes she will know and so will you ((hugs))
Trust me that ship has long since sailed. I just feel angry over all the hurt that still remains. I could go into detail but it'd take to long and I"m far too lazy. Lets just say the two of us went through a drug addiction together for awhile. It wasn't a bucket of roses trust me.
