I was more shocked than outraged. I honestly want Haley to win, but I really thought that James was gonna take the title. But I believe he'll make it big despite being out of the show. I hope Scotty doesn't win, though.

I wasn't ourtaged but like the others, and obviously like the judges, I was shocked. I picked him to possibly win. It doesn't do anygood to refuse to watch anymore because every year there is a big shocker like that. Ryan Seacrest reminded us all that this is the week that Daughtry was voted off. It did not hurt him, IN fact, he is probably better off becasue he was able to chose his own label and have more control of his music. James has nothing to worry about in his musical future. I will watch and cheer for who ever wins because they are all good. Plus, I am trying to look at the good in every situation - my new moto to live by.

I don't watch American Idol, so I don't know how the elimination process works.

How can the judges be shocked at the outcome? Aren't they the ones who are picking them?

I do love Steven Tyler, though!!! How's he working out, as a judge? Is he popular?

I see it this way... the winners on them shows usually never hit the big time. It's usually the 2nd or 3rd that get the record deal.
On australian idol Jessica mauboy she came runner up on the show... the winner u never hear of again, Jessica Mauboy not only selling albums in Australia but also America since she got big names to be in her songs.. thats how i see it anyway

Carla, Steven Tyler is doing great as a judge, he's well loved. The judges picked the contestants to be in the show but America votes who stays and who goes.

I was shocked that James Durbin was voted off last night, I thought he might win it. I wasn't outraged though. Just really shocked, I liked James so much. But yeah like others have said I don't think he's gonna have a problem signing a record label, he's amazing. I like Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina even though I am not a big country music fan. I like Haley Reinhart too if she lets up on the screaming/growling. They are all fantastic!

I was hoping James would win but it all comes down to the voters now and they're all so very gifted..

i was beyond outraged i really thought he was going to win i was even going to concert in aug.not any more not even watching the rest of the season .,so there america!!!LOL

Haha you guys are great! :) yeah my bf mentioned that too how James will be able to to better with his music that he puts out where as the idol winner is locked in to a very specific style.
