I took Ambien, but unfortunately it did not work for me. I found Lunesta was better for me, but it cost a small fortune along with a few limbs. Maybe the Ambien will work with the Seroquel.

Ambien put me to sleep well but left me with a horrible headache every day until noon...... I switched to Lunesta which works fine with no headache but went down to a low dose (which doesn't work as well) because I slept through my smoke alarm..... scary..... I know a lot of people who swear by Ambien.

I took ambien. It sort of worked for me. I was taking it because I was unable to sleep due to a traumatic event -- and I could fall sleep, but I ended up having nightmares of that very same event. I don't know if it was the event or the ambien.

I tried Ambien. I found out I can't take it. It gives me wicked bad hallucinations! Maybe it will work for you. It knocked me out, but the hallucinations were so bad I had to stop taking it!

I liked Ambien I little too much. Took it for a while, but it wasn't then recommded for everynight. Ended up taking 2 everynight. I also drank at the time, so that was bad combination. They say it is not habit forming (at least they used to), but I got hooked on them. Also, VERY hard to come off of. Best of luck

wow...im scared lol. my doc only told me to take them as needed which i hope isnt everyday. i guess we'll see how it goes. Heyy-does anyone else have trouble expressing feelings to their pdoc? i noticied i am very shut down in front of mine.

ambien helped me sleep, but brought on heavy depression. i was taking them on and off, and took someone else pointing out that my out of the blue dips coincided with the ambien. so just be aware to watch for, doesn't happen to everybody

My mom became addicted to AMBIEN in times of utter sadness......she could take 30 pills in 3-4 days......you should have seen her, a zombie.....she almost OD'd......god, I was so mad at her then.

I used to shut down in front of my pdoc. He thought he was god, and was so patronizing. Eventually, I fired him because he turned me into a zombie. My nurse practitioner is taking care of my therapy and meds and it has been a good experience. I find they care and take more time with you.

I hate pie (a whole one) on ambien in the middle of the night in a semi-conscious state, not really remembering, seeming like a dream, so in summary, I personally couldn't take it

I tried Ambien and it didn't work for me. It would put me to sleep in 2 hour increments then I'd wake up wide awake and be groggy the next day. I now take Klonopin and occasionally Neurontin if the Klonopin isn't quite cutting it. Good luck and get some rest.

I could stay up on it... It didn't really work for me.. It has a whole slew of weird side effects - look it up on Drugs.com I found Lunesta better - but still I could stay up on it too if I wanted and then they started to piggyback them both together and I would still be up.. I also take 600-800mg of Seroquel XR. Now what does work for me and will knock me out is melatonin - and a very low dose at that, and also Saphris... in fact I have done the half conscious eating thing while on the Saphris, I did it yesterday and woke up with a bunch of dried cheese on my shirt because I apparently ate frozen mac and cheese. I am like a very drunk person if you wake me up too soon on it, but after 8 hours I am ok.

When I hear someone say "Ambien" it scares the hell outta me!!! I took it a few years ago & I was having hallucinations, didn't help me sleep after the first week, memory loss, was turning into a "zombie" for lack of a better word!
I also tried to commit suicide while taking it, I don't remember doing it but apparently I took the whole bottle! I have no memory of the following 3 days after that, I had took so many that I was literally sleep walking. They said I was having conversations, walking around, doing the things I regularly do.
I wouldn't recommend taking those to anyone, way too many scary side effects!! Be careful!

It made me do wierd things and have amnesia.

I went from Lunesta to Ambien because I found the Lunesta to be too groggy the next day. Ambien knocks me out for a while but it may not be for long enough.
I think the time that you go to sleep is of utmost importance when taking the Ambien. It can be trippy too ( which can be funny ) and sends me on a fridge-raid at times.I wake up surrounded by wrappers for food that I can't remember eating.
