Am I on too high of a dosage?

I've been talking to people and it's got me thinking if it's possible I'm on too high of a dosage of meds at least compared to most. I'm taking 1200mg lithium, 300mg lamictal,1.5mg risperdal, 80mg Prozac and 1 mg klonopin. There's plenty of times I feel like a zombie. However on lower dosages I had ended up manic and in the hospital. They always tell you about side effects or damage the meds can do but after realizing I'm on a lot, I'm worried.

everyone's different re- dosages but you can ask for a second opinion/ med review?

Feeling like a zombie is not a good feeling. I think I'd discuss this with your current pdoc, and/or get a second consult. Like nevnude said everyone is diffrent regarding dosages of meds.
I for one am on 3 different antidepressants at the current time, as well as lamictal, clonopin, and trazadone. Everyone responds differently to meds.

Your dosages don't appear to be too high as far as what I know.
If this combo is working for you then you should be glad of that!
Keep having your monthly blood tests and that'll catch any problems the meds might cause.

Therapeutic dosage depends on each person. There are so many variables associated (i.e. metabolism, weight, tolerance, etc)

I was on the lowest dosage of Geodon for several months and drooling all over myself...LITERALLY!!

If it's working for you, maintain; if it's not working for you, tell the pdoc.

If the meds are keeping you stable then your on the right dosage for you. You can't compare your dosage to anyone elses, we're all different. And 1200mg of Lithium and 300mg of Lamictal are in the Therapeutic range for both meds.

It is really hard to get the right "cocktail". It's been 8 years and I still don't feel "normal". It seems when I feel overmedicated I tell the doctors and they say I need to be at the theraputic dosages and if I'm not I'm a non-complient patient. Being very sensitive to all medications I am looking for another pdoc and tdoc myself. It is different for everyone and I agree another consult would be beneficial.
