Alternatives to Prozac

I am on 3 mood stabilisers-lithium, olanzapine and sodium valproate (epilim) they seem to hold my manics pretty well, but prozac is not succeeding as an anti depressant. What's your favourite anti d?

actually it's lamotrigine - I know it isn't an anti-depressant but it's the only thing that lifted the depression. I went over my old medical records - I had been on about 10 anti-depressants over the years.

You might try one of the non SSRI ones, like one of the one tri-cyclics or there are some atypical ones - they might work for you.

I like Trazodone. It not only treats depression but also takes care of anxiety and helps you sleep.

I like Remeron it helps you to sleep as well and its the only antid that I miss when I dont take it

I tried Mirtazipine and Zoloft, neither helped the depression. On Wellubrin now and it has definitely lifted the depression. Some mania at first, lowered the dosage and now it's fine. I take it in the morning and take Geodon at night.

    Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
