it didn't work at all for me and i was on it a couple months.

I think it goes to work pretty fast...unlike some meds that take 6/8 weeks to reach theraputic levels.
I was on it...and off it (because of BAD side effects),in less than a month

It took just a couple days to make a drastic difference for me. I am super sensitive to meds in general. I take a tiny dose (1 mg 2X/day) and it makes a huge difference. I have to take it twice a day; once a day gives me a high and then a low. Twice a day keeps it in my system evenly.

I started out quickly on 5mgs and was in the swing within 2-3 days. Loved it.

I was on it for two weeks and twitched uncontrollably for the entire time. I guess different drugs effect people in different ways.

It does not take long to work. My pdoc upped my dose to 20 mgs per day from 15 mgs per day and it only took a few days to notice the difference.

At first the lifting of the depression and energeticness feels like it's just mania or hypomania and will wear off, but it doesn't. Don't get me wrong I still have my depressed moments and have been in the hospital once since I started taking the Abilify, but I "bounced back" much more quickly than before and have been stable since my last short hospital stay.

Say goodbye to sex as you know it. Or maybe you already had no sex drive. It killed mine after 3 days. I was having none of it. After going from hypersexuality to NOTHING I was having none of it. It was horrible. Stopped taking it immediately. I just couldn't deal with that!

It worked ok for me at first, but when he upped it to 15 mg. last month, it really started working for me and quickly. I've never had side effects from it.

Been on it since it first came out, about 10 yrs. It works like a charm.
But.... I developed tartive dyskinesia around a yr ago. Tremors in the right hand and left leg. I know everyone reacts differently. So good luck to you. Talk to your pdr about long term effects.

My libido fell off a long time ago. Sex is not an interest to me, and I don't really care b/c I don't have a bf or anything.

Crossing my fingers...I think I may have found the right cocktail!! HOORAY!!!

Worked fast for me, especially for the agitation and no weight gain either!
