Laughter really is the best medicine. If you can find humor in something, whether it's a silly faux paus or a fav tv show it is highly worth pursuing and honing some levity in life.

Where/whom do you turn to when you want to smile or laugh?
I usually listen to Comedy Central when I'm driving.
Tina Fey and Jim Gaffagan's books were a hoot!

I have a large collection of Terry Pratchett's books which I enjoy reading. There's a great deal of humor there. I have other books, like a collection of O. Henry that also elicits smiles. I agree that humor is the best coping mechanism.

I usually watch old episodes of Friends, The Golden Girls, Seinfeld, Rosanne or Will and Grace. I've heard Tina Fey's book is really good.

Yesterday I watched early ck louis. His 'Hilarious' had me laughing and my abs got such a workout. My husband came down to see what the heck was going on. I am also listening to 'Angela's Ashes' read by the author. The book is wincingly painful, but that seems to make the humor all the more poignant. Idk. Laughing is fabulous--I wasn't able to really laugh for a good number of years.

I also read Angela's Ashes and yes,it is painful but he still had his sense of humor about it all!

I would've loved to be a fly on the wall when all those Wayans brother's were growing up.I bet they were hilarious!

I listen to this radion show in the mornings on my way to work calle Kid Kraddik in the Morning. It is Hilarious! One time they played the best songs to listen to while your taking apoop. One was "Drop it like its hot" and the number one was "Let it Go!" Lol

Animated movies. Sometimes stupid thing are triggers, but when I watch all those animated movies with their double entendre declarations, it's hilarious! If the children only knew!

I just found this web site, looking for places to learn and share the pain of estrangement from my adult "child," who is 40. I also find help in comedians, especially the darker comics like Louie CK. Just enjoyed reading Marc Maron's book Attempting Normal. I appreciate his podcasts as well (WTF with Marc Maron). Thank you to Amuseme and those who have

Tears and achy ribs by the time I was done and why??? Who the hell knows? lol Something running through my head along with the conversation left me with the Roger Rabbit imagery!

My mind can be entertaining enough!

omg It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia makes me laugh EVER FUCKING TIME i watch it. CK Lewis, Amy Shumar (sp?), aziz ansari, Parks and Recreation, and Family Guy are hilarious and are my favorite shows.
whenever you feel down, i recommend at least watching Family Guy or CK Lewis. funniest shit ever! :D
