A Death Threat

My Ex-Boss want me dead. I am not even joking! I don't think he really can afford it or would carry it out himself, but still i wonder? It wasn't exactly a legitimate job and I know he deals with sketchy types so i am a little concerned. I cant quite call the cops either since he didn't make the threat to me. I am all messed up from a glass of wine and so I don't have the best judgment right now. What should I do? Has anyone ever been threatened by a disgruntled ex employer?

Most death threats never are more then a threat. but it's best to seek legal help to be on the side of caution. The biggest fight you may face is still your mind and being alone is not wise so stick with people you know well and do trust for emotional support more then anything.

the person that told you this would they talk to the police if need be ?
i take it he knows were you live , can you go to visit some one out of town for a while stay safe

I would if i could...he knows all the places i frequent. my house, my BF's house, and my friend who told mes house. I don't really have anywhere to go out of town and I'm starting school on Monday. This is stupid and stressful and I just locked all the doors and windows.

I would call the police once the alchol is out of the way a bit. Mix up your routine and such. Make sure if he calls or you see him, record the day and times. That would help you out for harassment as well as restraining order if needed in the future.

Depending on what happen, it may not be anything, but it is always better safe than sorry.

If you don't feel safe, call 911. Better to feel dumb and have them find nothing I would think although I wouldn't feel dumb for protecting yourself.
