LSD, yes...but only as a teen. And Mescaline and peyote. I had some vivid and interesting trips.

BUT, I was also untreated then for BP and I am not sure if it helped my mental health. As fun as it seemed at the time, I recall feeling overly detached, even disociative and depersonalized. Weird feelings. One time, i remember falling into a deep deoression after the sparking and beautiful world went away. That crash was deep.

I also watched my standardized test scores drop by 10 percentile. Yep. Gummed up my own neurons. That's the main reason I gave up, big time hallucinogens, that is.

I am not sure how they would effect me now. So don't send any my way.

With all the hallucinations and delusions I've had that weren't chemically induced I cannot think of why for the life of me someone would consider this "fun." Also there are numerous stories about bp people doing hallucinogenics and not recovering. Kurt Vonnegut's son did some mushrooms and was institutionalized after that. He later recovered but it took months or even years. It is dangerous for anybody with for someone with bp that could be pushed over into psychosis which could be permanently worsened this is a keg of dynamite.

That's just the risk you take if you want the buzz unfortunately.

Ecstasy is really enjoyable and I might recommend it to people who suffer from depression or anxiety if it weren't such an undependable chemical to come by. It's important you know your source is dependable because those little tablets are notorious for having all kinds of filler and substitutes. Personally, I've never had issues with a crash having only done it a handful of times. My understanding though is it gets worse.

I had fun with mushrooms, but they're much more temperamental, emotional than E or lsd(from what I've heard). On two occasions I used them, I was in a pretty good place mentally, but I don't think I would like to know. Too many repressed anxieties and creeping emotions.

I've done a few other things here and there, but that's a different story.

John Lennons song Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds wasn't about LSD as we all thought. It was about his daughters drawing of Lucy who was in the sky with diamonds on her eyes. ( I think but have been proven wrong a million times?)
