Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hi there. I didn't see a "introduce yourself" section (or may be I'm overlooking it), so I'll just post this here.
I started showing signs of bipolar disorder as early as age 8. I have been on about every drug out there and finally found what's right for me about 7ish years ago. I was diagnosed officially when I was a senior in high school.
I'm here because I'm wanting to help others more than anything. I may need some help or advice from time to time, but I'd rather help others.
I've written essays about drugs I have been on, what it's like to be ____, my own personal experiences, and would like to share these things with others who may find helpful.
Through years of experience and research I have found ways to cope and different ways of approaching a problem. I now know from listening to my body if something is "coming on" or if I'm just having a bad day. (Or incredibly good day. Or a strange day. Or whatever day).
So if anyone has any questions, need advice, whatever it may be please feel free to message me and I'll try to give you my best and help you through it.
I hope this post doesn't sound like "I know more than you, I'm better than you", I'm seriously just here to help and share things that may be of help to others.
I also like cats.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.
