I love Christmas for the real gift that we celebrate. I love the lights and gathering of friends. I wish I had more $ to buy more little gifts for everyone--family, friends, neighbors, postman, doctors and even my kids. haha. I love to bake cookies and might even make candy this year. I tend to get a bit hypomanic with all the fun and get up at 0500 to bake before work!
I love Thanksgiving too! Even though I can get stressed out with cleaning and cooking, I love it.
But today I'm working! Day 6 and I've already worked over 40. I hope I come home to a clean house!
Elves---get to work!
That is the attitude that helps us to enjoy this season.
and those damn elves. Called off sick! They're FIRED!!!
I love Christmas time. I don't have a lot of money to buy presents but I love to decorate my house and bake. I love making candies and cookies and giving to people.
Nice that you are planning a nice simple Christmas. Me too. Don't have much money, but that's not what it's about. I think my family might be very lucky to have each other. Looking forward to Thanksgiving next week. xo
With Xmas some people go all out here in australia but im doubting there will be christmas lights this years as electricity pricing has gone through the roof so.. i guess im all alone in saying this and that is GOODNIGHT ..from the future! (australia :P )
Simple Christmas is where it's at. Personally, since I don't have kids and all my siblings kids are grown, I don't give out gifts anymore. I think the gift of being together is the best gift of all. The only gift that I do is to my Mother. She's going to be 83 in January.
I have to work on Thanksgiving. But that won't be too bad since I get paid double time.
B........I am so looking forward to the good food and company that Thanksgiving means. The one day a year when we come together and really give thanks for each other and all that we have. I am going to have my mom and dad under my roof for dinner and that's the first time I will have had them together for Thanksgiving since I was little.
Hi, Amy. Have a nice rest and hope you have fun surfing.
glad you're managing Christmas ok.
SOSS!!! SEND COFFEE MY WAY!!!!!
I celebrate Christmas most of the time but with the kids being gone, I just don't know what this year is going to bring. =( I've never had a Christmas without them. Hopefully with me having a job now I'll be able to afford to send them Christmas presents... I wish I could send me!!
