The short answer is yes. Its more the depression side of things rather than the manic side.

I think so. I was diagnosed as having bipolar type2. Although I don't cycle alot, i still cycle and I've noticed it more in the last couple of months. The thing about my illness is that it's a more mild form of bipolar disorder.
When I cycle my kids think I'm back to my old self when in reality I'm not. There will never be going back to my old self.
I'm just more active and outspoken when I'm cycling. But then I crash and go through a long period of depression afterwards.

Oh, sorry. I totally forgot your question. I think if you're bipolar type2 you can cycle and not even know it. At least, that's what I've gone through except for the past couple of months.

but i've got more depression than i am manic. I used to have days weeks months of being depressed than i'd be manic for maybe 1 or 2 days and straight back down to depression ..

yeah I was going to say yes too. I was diagnosed with it and I do not have manic episodes (at all).

Any way the meds worked for me so I don't really care about my technical diagnosis I only care about getting better.

No. You have to have either a hypomanic or manic episode to be bipolar.. Without that it is unipolar depression.

Yes. For years I never realized that I have manic episodes. It was only when the pdoc asked me a lot of question that I realized. I just never realized. Hope that helps you
