Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Along with PSTD, it can be hard to tell the difference.
Then there is also a possiblity of Boarder Line personality Disorder.
I think it might be best to have a long talk with your Dr and get some clarification on your DX
Good luck
And that's my opinion!!!!
I hope you get the right labels soon and the proper treatment for them!!! Take good care! (((((Hugs)))))
She did put me on meds. Antipsychotics actually... which makes me very anxious, because of my whole schizophrenia fear... I havent taken them, because i have been doing better lately.
I cant go back to see her because i dont have insurance anymore....so i dont know what to do.
But if you're not going to take the medication, you might have a rough time of it, if you ARE Bipolar.
You don't just take the Bipolar meds when you're doing bad, you take them regularly. So I'm not sure that you should start popping them if you start feeling bad. Cause then if you start feeling good and stop taking them, you might go through withdrawal.
I'm sorry that you've lost your insurance. I don't know what you are going to do.
If you're schizophrenic, you'll want to have constant care, too, even if you are afraid of it.
Well, if you can't get a firm diagnosis and you aren't going to take the meds anyway, I suppose you might as well stick around here and keep reading. I guess we're better than nothing, but I can't stress it to you enough. You need to see a psychiatrist and follow your treatment plan.
Good luck!!!
She said im not schizophrenic, and the only reason i fear it is because i have OCD about it and was also put into a psych ward, where i felt like i was going crazy...
Things sometimes comes out in the wash.
There's a lot of self tests online that will tell you if you might have Bipolar! Google around! But they'll all tell you to see a Pdoc, if it looks like you might have it!!!
