I need another med change. All I do is cry, for no reason for every reason. What a mess.

I'm currently on gabapentin for anxiety and clozapam for panic attacks. Abilify made me angry, Prozac made me sick. I'm thinking of Cymbalta or Zoloft.

I do have lots of joint pain from arthritis my diagnosis is mood disorder, anxiety, panic attacks.

Anybody have any suggestions

hi free.... sorry you are struggling and are crying and upset at the drop of a hat :(

I take Zoloft and it has made a big difference to me.. I take 100mg which I know is quite a low dose...but I take a shedoad of other meds too

I would recommend zoloft over cymbalta only because I took effexor, another SNRI just like cymbalta, and there were no side effects, but if you need to get off of it the withdrawl syndrome is AWFUL. Someone else here took cymbalta and says the same. I used to take zoloft, and the only thing with SSRIs are the risk of weight gain. It's worth bringing both up to your pdoc though... good luck, and Happy 4th

I can't really answer you, because every anti-depressant I have been on causes me to go into a Mixed Episode

I stopped meds awhile back.pretty much numb and blank most of the time now,but the meds i used to be on worked for me except for abilify it just made me sleep was on celexa but after being put on 40mg of it it made me feel flat and empty i was also on lamictal which worked really good too

I'm sorry you're dealing with the depression freenow. I love your avi though....if only it were that easy to jump and have fun in life's 'rain puddles.'

I've never had luck with Antidepressants. just wanted to send (((Hugs))))

Cymbalta works great on pain. I second sadie about the withdrawal, though. For some reason, I experienced nonstop nausea and ibs on Cymbalta which was too bad because it decimated my pain. Good luck with your meds, and I like your avi, too.

Lamictal was a miracle drug for me. But I got that rash so very bad on 100 mgs. That rash doomed me in. Can't catch a break

Zoloft made me lose weight - or, rather, it bothered my stomach so much that I couldn't eat and ended up losing weight. I don't know much about Cymbalta... Good luck, free! And a happy 4th of July to you, too!

Hey I hear ya on the crying. Ecer since my new pdoc took me off my Citalopram I cry every single day for no reason at all! I am so scared to watch tv even for fear that some commercial or tv show will have me bawlin my ass off. Hugs to you and hope you feel better soon. Im headed back to the doc myself.
