unless a crying jag is accompanied by manic or depressive symptoms it's usually not an indicator of anything dangerous. sometimes it can be indicative of crashing, but not unless i've got depressive symptoms too. more usually, it's just my brain being wonky and working out an imbalance. if you continue to have crying jags with some frequency you might want to schedule an appt for a med review to discuss tweaking your lamictal. i hope you feel better!

I can't cry anymore, my meds make it impossible. Before meds I cried everyday.

You might be going into a depressive phase?

I used to cry all the time when I was depressed.

I can't cry even when I'm suppose to. It's from my meds also.

I can always tell when I have forgotten to take my meds as I will cry at the drop of a hat which can be extremely embarrassing when it happens at work or in front of someone who really doesn't know me that well. Needless to say I try to be good about taking my meds on time.

Changing meds makes me cry. But normally I can't cry if I wanted to on certain medications. Wish I had answers for you. Hang in there.

My meds also prevent crying. My emotions are kind of "flat" at times, but since I had suffered bipolar with psychosis, I'd rather be a little flat than the crazy roller coaster I was on.

As for "crashing" from high mania to very severe depression, that happened to me in 2005 and caused a suicide attempt that left me disabled. This was before I was on Zyprexa and Cymbalta. Those medications have done wonders for me.

Sadly I was in my 60's, most of my life gone, before I got relief. Had been tried on so many medications! Hope you find the right meds and the right dosage to keep you stable.
