I was telling my husband that when I'm up I'm more anxious because I know the down is just around the corner. The down jumped me yesterday, so I crawled into bed to weather the storm. I won't stay here until it leaves, but I will allow myself more TV time in bed without feeling guilty about other things I could be doing. I also have intense emotions when mother nature visits. Taking meds. are a waste. So my husband stocked up on chocolate-really works and chips&dip.
I completely understand how painful it is to bounce down over night, but it will pass-it will pass. Tell yourself that please. I also try to do as much as possible to take my mind off of it even it it's watching a silly movie or finally settling down to do sewing, polishing, and other little tasks.
Sometimes I'm at a level where I can't do anything even get on line so I just sit or lay and wait. I know now that as hopeless as I may feel it will turn around. As I've said I've been up and down so many times I know deep down it will evenutally pass. I even notify my husband if I down to the point that I might hurt myself. He knows what to make sure is put out of my sight. I'm not an overdoser just a cutter andd I don't use knives. I like the old fashion coat hangers and paperclips. I haven't cut in a while though.
