Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

But yes I do forget. But when I go to a new doctor I always make a fool of myself, I explain everything that's going on and ask the same questions over and over and repeat myself, frantically. Doctors make me so nervous. They probably all think I'm on speed when I first meet them. Nerves, yo.
That's been the most useful combination: I go in there with a list of things I want to talk about and I let her lead the appointment. Often our conversation will cover the things on my list but if at the end they do not, I will bring them up.
I tend to forget every thing and disassociate the entire time like nothing is even real.
I have to write down a mood diary every day with notes .
My Therapist / P doc gets a much better understanding of me thru my notes because I can hide who I am so easily with out them .
I seem to forget or can't remember either I tend to block every thing out .
Yep, but then, I seem to play mental/verbal hide-and-seek and act like a deer-in-headlights when I am Lots of places - not just pdoc.
Physical doc. Therapy. Dates. Friends. (Disability hearing!!!!!)
*sigh* But I have used my journals as a Weapon lately, and darned if I don't have a Great pdoc now!! *whew* (He reads my journals!!)
I never remember Half the stuff I go through unless prompted by something - and who would know better than me? So journals are Best for us and pdocs and tdocs, cause it's what WE see.
Hugs - :)
