Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Keep focusing on what gives you comfort.
I hope you can sleep tonight. Do you have anything you can take to stop the grinding? IE some tranquilizers to stop the racing thoughts and the tension?
Also, I can understand that you don't want to go to the hospital, but can you see your pdoc? Perhaps a medication adjustment?
I hope that keep all the suicidal stuff at bay!!!!
Your illness is what's wrong with you. That's what's making everything so hard. So that's the part of your life that you need to battle!!! I think a med change might be your best bet!!!
Good luck!!! I hope you feel more 'up' soon!! (((((Hugs)))))
But you know what?
Do not worry about the "if I fail" because that's what drives you into this.
Just take it one day at a time. When you constantly worry about failing in the future, you do not do all you can do in the present.
I know I may be hypocritical for saying this, since I can be the same way, but I've also gotten myself out of it.
It's easier said than done, but you need to focus on the now, because the future is unknown, and you need to stop trying to predict it failing.
:):)hugs:):)
Some suggestions - inform your teachers/profs about your situation. And then, get the homework assignments for a few days and work at your OWN PACE (I mean, make sure you get it done on time, but if you have the flexibility to do some of that on your own terms, that might help immesnely).
Do not be afraid to take a "mental health day" and stay home for a day. But don't waste that day - do something for yourself. Long walk, make a fabulous meal, have coffee with someone you haven't seen in awhile. These are all types of things that help me to keep fighting through it.
I also enjoy counting down the weeks. Heck, I'm a quarter way through the semester so far! If I can do it, YOU can do it!
I have many, many studying tips if you ever need some help. If you ever need to vent about school, I'm here for ya!
Also...try asking your pdoc for some adavant or something to help with the anxiety. I don't know if that'll help you, but it has made a huge difference in my life. It allows me to at least sleep well without waking up feeling groggy.
Sorry I'm rambling.
Good luck!
Im here for you.
