I'm sorry you're going through this. It's so hard when our bodies do things we don't understand! ((hugs))

i went through this for about three years they said it was chronic idiopathic urticaria, extreme allergies for an unknown reason and they put me on about eight different anti-histamines which kind of kept it under control but didn't quite take away the terrible itch or all the swelling! eventually i went to a homeopath who ascertained that i was allergic to citrus and sure enough when i cut it out. It is in everything, make up, tooth paste, shampoo, you name it citrus is in it! and it finally cleared up. four or five years on I can now reintroduce small amounts of citrus and i am fine. it was a horrible nightmare when i was going through it though. is there a product you have recently started using that you never used before, or new food in your diet or something you've started to increase your use of? it is worth checking these things. good luck with it. the itch is a nightmare. hugs. burn cream was the best for it.

So sorry to hear. The side effects sometimes can be so hard to deal with.

hope you feel better and find out what. I have food allaregies not that bad but i feel rude because people make me things and ihave to ask what is in them....mine was cottonseed seed oil. make sure you checkfor and/or ingredients

Oh goodness - I hope you find out what's causing it, October! Could be idiopathic, like irish mentioned, or an allergy. But an allergy to what?! I'm sorry - hives are awful.

Hope you find out the cause soon and that it's just something minor. The body is a strange thing. When I was extremely stressed one time I broke out in shingles and it was hell. Just something freaky that my body did. HUGS!!!

That is okay. Maybe they can do blood tests to see what you are allergic too. Does Benydrel help with breathing. I may have spelled it wrong. I hope you can find out what is going on so you can feel better soon. That would suck for anyone. Those shots probably would stimulate you so you can't sleep like you need any other problems. I hope they find out something soon so they can treat you with the right meds.

Thanks everyone. The doctor sent me to an allergist, who didn't want to be bothered by me. He did basic blood work. Found nothing and that was it. I am looking for a allergist right now.

Got2bereal benadrly helps with the itching. If breathing gets bad I have an epi pen.

A friend told me about Benadryl cream. Helped with mild hives I had. Hope you do not find the ER necessary.
