yes. u can call the social security administaion. Or in wisconsin where I live, the number on the back of my insurance card has an automatic opperator to tell me that info.

According to information online, monthly award for SSD is around $1200.

I tried to do the online thing but it requires a passcode be mailed.

It is for my husband which I have authority by him to discuss his case and benefits. I just didn't know if there was this automated system that you could call and put in SS and get an amount. We are waiting on the award amount letter to come but I need to complete another form that needs that info.

Yea I definitely don't get $1200, haha.. I didn't work enough or long enough. Say you worked full time for year & years then your amount goes up on SSDI.. Also it doesn't change if you have like more kids, your spouse makes more income - though if they make a lot less you could qualify for SSI..

Yeah after being employed for 25 years I only get 781 a month and thats due to all the years dancing which was of course payed in cash
