Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Seriosly, Hanna, you know yourself best. For me, there are times I dont want to go but if I keep telling myself that, I just get more anxious. If I start thinking the opposite way and looking at all the positive possibilities, I start feeling more that way and feel much better by doing the very thing I thought I didnt want to do.
It just depends on where I am emotionally. If I am depressed to the point of being bed ridden, the most I can move is to my front porch for fresh air. If I feel better than that but just like isolating, I pretty much force myself to do the thing I am contemplating and almost always feel better for doing it.
If you really dont like the guy, then exit the whole lunch thing, but if you like him he may just help you out of your funk. You can always tell him at the start that you are not feeling well (headache or something) but did not want to disappoint him and that you may have to leave the "get together" early. There is always an escape route, just plan ahead for it. xo
Yes, it's your choice, but choose wisely!
hugs
Andrea
