can't say i do. i have been taking it for two years now and have had no problems at all. have you talked to your doctor about this. shaky and sweaty kind of sounds like a withdraw symptom(?)

I wonder if it is a kind of withdrawal if you are missing doses when it happens. YOur chemicals might change enough to cause the symptoms. I would call your doc to be sure if it happens again. Get a pill box to help you remember to take your meds or use some kind of alarm minder....xoxo

I haven't talked to her about it because it never happens unless I accidentally miss a dose. I thought it sounded like withdraw too but I can't find anything about lamictal having a withdraw problem.

With most drugs you wont have withdrawal in a 24 hour period, or at least I have not, except for Lithium. Maybe Lamictal is like lithium for you. Try not to miss any doses maybe.............xo

I miss my meds more than I should but I have never had this symptom from missing it, I can definitely tell in my moods though.

i've just had a nose around myself and i, like you cannot find any ref. to this sort of symptom with missed doses. over dose yes but not the other way. are you taking any other meds that might be causing some kind of conflict with the missed dose?

You could call your pharmacist or google lamictal withdrawal. There seemed to be several sites with info on it but didnt want to post a link cuz there are so many. xo

i have just seen what shelly said and lamactil is considered to be in a similar category to lithium. i don't know enough about lithium though.

If lamictal IS in a similar category as lithium than I can tell you I had those symptoms when I missed lithium doses because my levels dropped. I think it probably has to do with the chemical levels. I do know it is advised NOT to stop Lamictal abruptly for withdrawal reasons. This could potentially trigger an episode for you so probably best to find some way to remember every single day. xo

i use the alarm on my mobile phone as a reminder. haven't missed a dose in ages.

Thanks guys! And I only miss a dose like once every three months so it doesn't happen often.

I too take lamictal and once in a while I have missed a dose and felt very out of it the next day.

I feel what you describe if I am even a few hours late taking my lamictal. I always know if I have missed a dose. I take mine in split doses. I told my pdoc about it over a year ago and she said it was unusual for that to happen but go figure that's me.
