So my psych decided that i should try to decrease my Seroquel xr by 50 mgs a day (started last Thirdday)....um yeah...NOT a good idea. AT ALL. i had to go back up on Tuesday evening because I was (and still am) experiencing extreme irritability, anger , deprssion and anxiety. I.feel like absolute H!#!! But i am at work. I am also in a lot of pain with my back and leg. I am also very exhausted, my thyroid has once again decided to crap out on me. I just feel overwhelmed all around. I have been reaally struggling to even get for work. I just want to go to sleep and not eake up for 190 years!!!! :(

Hey TC40.

So sorry to hear your going through such a rough time. Why did your pdoc decide to decrease your seroquel? It's certainly not fun feeling such anger, irritability, depression and anxiety - so exhausting. And it sounds especially hard that you are going through some physical pain. I find that can actually make things worse. I have a bad cold right now, and I felt like I couldn't breath and that sent me into a full fledged panic.

I hope you manage to get some sleep and rest that busy mind.

Have you had blood work done for your thyroid lately? I have had to have my Synthroid increased quite a few times. I know that when I can barely conjure up the energy to walk in to my work building, it might be time to get it checked. It's the difference between "tired" and "weary."

Definitely make sure you tell your doctor how the decrease in Seroquel made you feel.

I know it can be scary changing your meds I have been pretty stable except for a few hypomanic episodes since 2007. I had not had any bad ups and downs just blah. The doctor has decided she needs to see if she can fix that she is changing my Risperdal to Abilify. Still in transition I started out 2mg Abilify for a week and starting Saturday I go to 5mg of Abilify and 1.5mg Risperdal. Makes me nervous. I could start feeling great or it could back fire and I could start having delusions and hallucinations again.
