I need some advice from you if possible. I am having trouble with severe irritability due to being hypomanic (my "upside" is irritability...lucky me)...i am also dealing with a HIGHLY TOXIC individual at work. Most of the time I can just ignore her. But when i am feeling like this, i become extremely angry by pretty much everything she does and says. She talks about me behind my back. She goes for DAYS giving me the silent treatment and then suddenly wants to be friendly. She refuses to treat me with respect when she shows me how to do something. When i askedher a ? The other day she yelled"what"?? at me. Plus shecranks up her space heater when she KNOWS ihave trouble with being too hot. She is just an all around bitch. I have daydreams of punching her in the face or swinging her around by her long, scraggly nasty ass hair.
Ok so help...i need some coping strategies QUICK!!! i am soooo dreading the week ahead. The nastier she gets, the angrier i become. I am not a violent person. I am simply fed up with her BS and need to find a way to deal with it before it causes me a nervous breakdown.
Also...before she worked in my department, she told me that her boss at that time told her that she created a very negative working environment, so i KNOW this isn't ME causing the strife. I am just reacting to her and i need to find a way to stop myself from reacting to her.

Can you wear head phones at work and listen to music ,instead of her ?
Also, if she is really bitchy at you, deff go in and see your boss and say she is making the work environment a hostile place to be . By Law , your boss will have to talk to her ...... sometimes that doesn't work, depending on the size of the company etc...

i found respondin happy w crankers i call em they tend ta back off. i used ta put up a giant happy face on my wall & i had a shaker that made beepy noise. kill w kindness is me motto. tommy is right, shes gotta live bein cranky. it does suck ur so close ta her. good idea DD!!
I wonder if you could try and focus on something bigger than her. She is not the most important person in this world..even though she may act that way.
