Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I think the rule is - only make fun of it if you have it - race, religion, illness, marital problems. Really though, your point is well taken. Who would ever make jokes about people with cancer? Maybe people think because you can die from it, you should not joke about it.
Well, you can die from bipolar too. But how to erase the stigma is a whole other issue.
It is annoying though lol
Bp affects ppls who suffer from it, health too. Its not just a mental thing. It just bugs me. I wonder if I said something, if they would stop cracking the jobs.
We did a training course on diversity and accepting ppl today and how to not negativity impact our co-workers, but its okay for the trainer and the last to make jokes and assumptions about bipolar but not about being part of the Gay community ( I support gay rights). ( Just an example).
What I was getting from the training was to respect and not say offend things about things that make ppl diverse. Bipolar is part of my diversity , so where is my consideration?
Maybe this is something I need to take to HR? But I don't want my job knowing I am BP, because how the trainer spoke about it.
