Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I might not be the best person to give advice right now, very depressed and thinking of the end. I just can't seem to manage anything this go round. (I am narcoleptic and bipolar).
But, before the narcolepsy was a huge issue I was able to at least make a half way attempt at my life and be content. I can't really say I have ever been happy really, so I settle for content.
I agree with Towritegina, meds and doctors, etc are a big part of managing life with B. For me not only have the right combo of meds helped but sleep and excercise was also a big part.
It sounds like you have a full plate that might prevent you from getting good sleep and excercise. Sometimes we do need to sit back and reflect on what we are doing that might be causing conflict in the management of our lives.
Is there anyway you can cut back on schooling, maybe take 2 classes instead of 3, just cut down a bit. I know it sucks to think you might have to extend your schooling but sometimes those of us that suffer from bipolar have to make certain sacrifices to maintain an even balance.
Just my two cents worth and I hope you get some relief and can manage things to a point where you are at least content. Don't EVER quit reaching for the stars though and always remember some of the greatest people with the greatest minds have been and are bipolar!
