It kinda depresses me at night when I take my medication and I look down and I have a whole handful of pills so I know what you mean.

I take 28 pills that are regular meds for lupus, bipolar and thyroid.

Pretty little pills...reminding me that I am sick. I hate having a defective body and mind.

I must reframe my thoughts. I am in a fight to stay healthy...pills are a tool...not a vice or a sign of my weakness. . .

With all that said...I'm sick of the pills too

I also take Advil and tramadol for pain. Klonopin for anxiety asks akisthesia..

I hate to take them...but need relief.

It bothers me that I need pills, and it scares me to think that I someday might not be able to get them. I wish I didn't need them.

i get tired of them some too, but then other times I am so thankful the little buggers have been manufactured. I also worry about being able to afford all of them and which ones will have to fall along the wayside.

I don't take a lot of medications , not too many pills...and YES, it is a pain to always have on my mind, that this is how I will spend the rest of my life ...and Good Lord..what if I forget to take them !

Yep, I take 9 different pills and 3 inhalers daily for Bipolar, Asthma, hypothyroidism, digestive issues, and chronic hives. I am always going through them trying to figure out if I can get rid of any of them but truth is they all help in some way.... 2 of the pills are just for hives..... doesn't seem like a big deal but if I miss even one dose I am covered with hives from head to toe.... I lived with them for 15 years so I have to say it is nice not to itch all the time. As much as I hate them I'll keep taking them.

It's hard for me to have to take medication because i was raised in a family where you didn't even take aspirin unless you really needed it.I have a history of noncompliance with meds because of all the lousy side effects (the worst being weight gain)and because i have a hard time accepting the fact that i need the meds and have sometimes wondered why i was not getting supernaturally healed.I finally just came to terms with taking meds,because i am well aware that they are some pretty strong drugs and if i just stopped them there would be hell to pay.

i hate it..i hate having to rely on it (specially to breath!!!) n the cost of it..its a pain in the ass when ur out n u have to remember to take the shit with u..having no insurance makes my meds impossible to afford so at the moment im without half my meds n suffering greatly for it..i truly envy ppl who dont have to take any meds,they have no clue just how lucky they are!

Then I take a deep breath, and am grateful this wasn't 100 years ago, or more. When a episode could put you in an asylum for life! : )

The last 10 years has really be progressive and better with choices - another 10 years? Maybe choices without side effects?????

I do get tired, and my theory is that if I have to take that many pills, then they're not working. Each medication has it's own effects and side effects to the extent that I don't remember what is normal. It occurred to me that if it's about what I'm putting into my body, including food and chemicals they contain, then I need to change my diet and lifestyle. I still take minimal medication, I'm still symptomatic, but I'm not out of control or unable to function. I just have to be aware of myself and deal with the situations as they come. Some I can remove myself from so that i can gather myself...some I have to talk myself through. Some I just break and have to kind of reset.

I thankfully don't take many meds. I have got into the regime of taking them now. The cost of not taking them far outweighs the cost of taking them.

Hate it. Especially when you have to take some pills to counteract the side effects of others. Where does it end?

I'd get sick of that too.

I don't think it's wrong to feel that way, but keep taking your meds even when it's a pain.
