So I have applied for disability which took a lot out of me to stuck up my pride and admit and be OK with I need help...in Ontario you have to pass your financial and medical... I have passed financial but I'm so afraid I won't pass medical! I mean I have never been hospitalized and on paper I properly look OK ish given y dx..but as of lately I'm not!..it depends on your paper work I know and if its long term which it is I've been treated for 14years so on that front I'm OK..I mean I know I have factors to help me..I'm just scared of the no ....I don't want to go back on Ontario works

That's what got me approved. i have never been hospitalized, but letters from my Pdoc seemed to do the trick in getting disability approved

I assume Canadian Health asks for a Dr;s referral before you can see a Pdoc ?
Can you ask for another GP who is more open to the idea of a referral to see a Pdoc ?
I also found that it helps to play up the side effects of the meds you're on. Hubby is on large dose of Seroquel. He CANNOT function well during the day because he's "Out of it" for most of the day.
