Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
LMAO!!! He's acting like a child??? Did you ever think of saying NO, and not feel bad or throw a temper tantrum? ((((BIG HUG)))
Also, you had a nice Thanksgiving - your husband being a dick for no reason is part of life, it doesn't mean you throw yesterday and tomorrow AWAY!!!!
Glad your here, and hope I didn't piss you off more : )
Oh and the under the covers thing....I'm typing this on my phone under the covers because It helps to get my feelings out...but it won't help if he sees me writibg this and continues to rant at me.
I will be sure to keep the negative experiences to myself next time. Thanks for helping me feel safe here. But then again...oh yeah...thats life isn't it.
:)
Snuggle in and relax

I will keep my rhetoric to myself, you need to feel MORE support, I apologize - this is a good place to vent, I do respect your feelings...
Wishing you peace and relief ASAP
This is what I do when it's time for everyone to chip in on the house. Give him 30 minutes notice that everyone is expected to go through the house and pick up behind themselves. I always add the dog (she usually has the biggest mess) just to lighten things up a little.
If he fiddle farts around and I get done, I just sit on the sofa and watch him. Then its, you vacume, I'll sweep. You scrub the guest bathroom, I'll do the other one.
My husband has been found on the floor playing with the dog while the cleaning is going on. I just tell him to let me know when he is ready to get started.
Keep working at it. You guys will work something out. But, I don't think either one should be picking up after the other.
You said at the time that he's very depressed and that you need help.
What steps have you taken to get help with these things? For both you and him.
It doesn't sound like things have improved enough to consider your home with him a safe place.
It's not just a 'crap' situation. It's a dire situation.
If he's deeply depressed, it's most likely more than just 'laziness' or thinking that it's 'your job' to clean everything.
He needs help for his mental state.
And you probably do, too. The stress of living with someone as mentally ill as him can hardly be good for YOUR mental health, either, especially as someone with Bipolar Disorder.
You said before that you need help. Are you getting any?
If this was 'just' a husband/wife squabble kind of thing, that would be maddening enough.
But things are much, much more serious in your household and you need to take steps to ensure your own safety!!
Good luck. I wish he would get the help he so desperately needs.
If he did, that would go a long ways towards making YOUR situation better, too!!!
Belle....we've been round and round with all this. I've tried doing that and i don't mind cleaning the house as long as I'm not picking up after him...its kind of indescribable...I've never known someone to be so messy.
Carla...I had an appt scheduled last week but had to reschedule bc I was sick then the holiday. He won't get therapy but he's on meds. He's been better...not depressed..but irritable on and off. He acts like all that didn't happen. He says he will lie if I tell anyone. But I have him on tape saying that. This is such a crazy way to live.
Thank you for the support and thanks for letting me vent. I really have no other support to turn to right now.
