I have a hard time too sometimes, it's not easy. It depends on what kind of motivation you are looking for - cleaning the house, etc, forget it. I don't know how to motivate someone to do that. But in terms of working toward the future, I think about the things I will lose if I don't do the tasks ahead. That can help me to buckle down and do it. Also, just taking 1 things at a time. If I try to tackle too much I get overwhelmed and nothing will get done, and I will feel like a failure before I even begin.

The motivation issue I'm having is with a home business I"m trying to start. If I can get the ball rolling I will be free of SSDI hopefully. Then I don't have to stress out over whether they take it from me or not or if the debt ceiling will be raised. Self efficiency is important to me. Personally all I can see myself doing is art. I wish to work from home and sell on the internet. Problem is I can only work on it when I'm in the mood which seems to be rare for me. well that and I'm in a bit of a slump right now.

I completely understand needing to be independent & self-sufficient, and also you mood holding up your motivation to work. I'm sorry, I wish I had a quick fix for you doorknob! ((Hugs))

I have problems with motivation in regards to art and writing. I haven't figured out a solution, I'm afraid.

What kind of art do you do? Can you sell on etsy?

I have no motivation. There is nothing I can do except try to survive on a daily basis. I sleep in my car, and wake up when the sun comes streaming in. Then I go search for a restroom and some food. I spend the day in the library to avoid the horrible heat outside. When the library closes I go back to look for food and then off to the parking spot I use to sleep. Every day is the same and it is a trial to keep going. I live on mostly candy bars and donuts. I haven't had a meal in months, nor a good nights sleep. I am completely beat down. There is nothing to motivate me. Life will never get better, it will only get worse. When my gas money runs out I will abandon the car and be sleeping on the sidewalk. I wish I was dead every day.

I love to scrapbook and do crafts but I find that I have to be in a real good place to start. I am trying to force myself to just start a project and then I start feeling better and get it done and move on to another one. One of my goals is to do this twice a week for now.
