Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I'd just like to know why it is so much more creative in my sleep than while I'm awake.
And why you dream about stuff that never happened or isn't related to your life in any way. I read that dreams are created by your mind deleting memories you don't need any more or repairing neuron pathways. I'd believe that except I know that these are not memories of mine! So where did they come from then?
maybe your dreams are your creativity...??
Some of the worse nightmares I ever remember were after doing with out ambien like last night. :(
I just worry that my brain is showing me something deep and dark from inside of me.
I time travel, I meet lots of famous people, visit with relatives who are no longer among the land of the living, I've only been Bipolar once in my dreams, visuals are greatly enhanced, and I get to feel as though I've truly experienced things that I never have!!!!
I think I always star in my dreams (or a least have a bit part), but my lover often dreams wonderful, intricate scenarios that don't involve him at all!!
Even bad dreams are great!!! I recently had a dream that my son was a toddler again and he was brutally murdered right before my eyes and I was carrying his bloodied corpse all through the dream and the shock and horror and sorrow I felt was just about what I imagine I'd feel if it happened in 'real life'
It was horrible but I certainly can't complain about its being boring!!!!
I wish you could record dreams!!!!
Yeah, you're having some doozies, all right!!!! I'm sorry for that and sorry that you find them very unsettling!!!
POSSIBLE TRIGGER!! READ NO FURTHER!!!!
Had you heard that recent news story about the father who most likely murdered his wife a couple years back and though he was never charged, he WAS only allowed supervised visits with his two sons?
The last time the social worker brought the boys to see him, he slammed the door in her face after letting the boys inside, she smelled gasoline and then the house blew up, killing all three of them. Maybe your dream 'borrowed' from that.
