As I become more and more isolated, I watch more and more TV. And I don't even watch cool shows, I'm starting to watch the oddest sh*t. Actually the truth is the tv is always on but I'm usually online and just half watching it - but it's still my main form of company. TV and DS.
I've definitely become half-hermit.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

I know you live in a shitty city that gambles, drinks and whores, but there must be SOME decent people there. You had 3 friends, that proves decent people live in LV. I know you are suffering and grieving the loss of your friends, and I empathise, but you are not going to find new ones watching TV.
There must be SOME place you can go to meet new people. I know you are going to hand me a list of excuses and I don't mean going out to bars or casinos.
To have a friend, first you have to be a friend. I'd like you to take an enormous leap of courage and put yourself back out there in the world. Find one new place to go to where you can be with nice people and be nice to them. Focus on helping others. Reach out and care for others, rather than isolating and wishing someone would reach out and care for you. It doesn't happen that way, we have to offer something in return for people to want to love us and care for us. It starts with friendship.
I am not meaning to sound like a bitch, I can imagine I would feel exactly the same as you in your situation. But you know logically that you have to go out in the world and mix with nice people to have even a tiny chance of making a friend.
Are you up for the challenge?
Which is a bummer in some respects, cos I'd just blown a wad on a fine new one, only a couple of months earlier... Dedicated to 'The Wire' on friday nites, I missed the last few eps rounding off the series- WTF is up with that!!?
Yes, now I have reconnected with my 'inner' Gyro Gearloose, all things scientific, etc. But still a frikkin' hermit.
