I've only worked in one place, twice. When I first started, I wasn't worried about what people thought of me, because I worked harder and more efficiently than everyone there. I did have stress, however, for a long time, because for the longest time, I would hear my coworkers talking about me in the most annoying way, saying things that they would only say if either they could read my mind, or if I had always said my thoughts out-loud. After getting ECT and a medication adjustment, I found out that none of them had problems with me whatsoever, and I continued being a hard and efficient worker.

Started a new job in February. Things pretty chaotic in the workplace. Just put my head down and did what I could.

End of first month I got the corporate account end of second month I get a raise.

I felt utterly suicidal today just kept doing the work....

I have had quite a few new jobs. Its not easy I know. I am a people person but I would often have trouble at new jobs because I was trying too hard to fit in. Now that I am older I try to focus more instead on doing my job well and something I have learned is that respect is earned so by me showing how good of a worker I am and what an awesome team player I can be it helps me become part of the team that much faster and getting to know my co workers comes along with it. It takes a few months some times but if you like your job its all worth it. Good luck to you.

Can you keep a notebook and take notes to help with memory? I always do that in a new job and it's perfectly acceptable. I've survived many new jobs....there was only one I had to leave because of the severe stressors. I also check in with my therapist when going through job changes and that helps....

Best wishes to you. I got a job in October substitute teaching but I got fired because my memory is shot. I'm going to try interviewing again, but I can't do full time because I get overwhelmed easily. I've been fired a lot in the past. Hope this works out for you. I work 6 hours a week (two 3-hr days) and can barely function with that. I have to keep a notebook with me and write EVERYTHING down so I don't forget. My father-in-law is my boss which is good for me. If I do something wrong, he'll start by saying "Your phone voice is growing more confident. On the other hand.....". I work alone so I can't hear anyone talking about me. But I get stressed on day 2 of the week and can't wait to get out.
