can pms be worse because of bipolar? my mom and my doc want me on the pill and i wondered if any of you bipolar girls also have/had heavy/emotional/painful cycle.. and if my bipolar could make my time of the month worse emotionally then other people? im also on 7 meds (including prn and over the counter med)

Because bipolar disorder is messing with your brain chemistry and the hormones that cause periods are part of that, your period can definitely make your emotions go even more wacky.
I'm also bipolar and my doctors are considering birth control to control the hormones and chemicals in your brain.
You should see a gynecologist to figure out which pill would work best with your current medications.

my normal physical doc prescribed something with "low dose" I don't even know what it is..

I have always ben afraid to go to a gynecologist because I don't want to "strip" for anyone even a doc...that just creeps me out..
