Well, I got my last ride in a few days ago, I did 45 minutes for 15 km. It was 5 C, which is 42 F. I wore my ski gloves was so cold, and hurt my hand, because the wrist and hand were not strong enough to grip the handle bar with the thickness of the glove, although the other hand was fine.
So I have to start riding in the basement. I was in Mexico and did some swimming, so I am going to cross train in the pool. I was not able to swim in the past, because of my damaged foot and nerve pain, but this time it was ok.
So my last ride in northern Alberta. Hopefully an early spring in British Columbia, but rumour has it that it is going to be a long, cold winter everywhere in western Canada! Oh yes, I am moving. To BC in JanUary. Very excited about it, too!

I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...

I haven't been around in a long time. I am admin in a private group, and I would like to upgrade someone else to that position. I thought I knew how to do that, but the prompt has gone missing. Or is it not allowed to upgrade someone else to admin? I just find "ban and demote" under "Edit." I don't get notifications to DS anymore, but I wil come back in a few days to find out the answer. There...
I rode my bike back then out of necessity, now I'm a fair weather biker. Swimming in Mexico sounds warm!
Congratulations on your 45 minutes. Good luck on the moving! Glad your foot is okay.
I did sk a few years ago when my knees were relatively good, and the foot did not get cod in he ski boot. But several falls later, my knees are not up to skiing.

Anyway, it is good to meet you, myself! Happy riding!
Nice to meet you too! I haven't been on my bike for a while, it's getting colder now so I may not for a while longer. I don't ride in the winter anymore. I have been on stationary bikes, but don't have one to ride inside on. happy riding to you too!
So I really need to bite the bullet and just do it!
I'm off to the basement. I hope some of you are able to ride outside still. I hear it is cold in many places right now.
Have fun with your ride, bite the bullet but have fun too, do you listen to music or watch tv while you ride?
I find the music gives me a beat to pump to. I have Christian play lists, and classic rock play lists to ride to. Depending upon my mood, and how much I need to have a driving beat! LOL
I always check my tires when riding outside, but sometimes it is a good thing to do indoors, too!
I also started a weight loss plan. Hopefully between exercising and cutting back on calories, I will lose some of my excess baggage!
It sure did help though when I had a bike cart attached with kids going to soccer games and it was cold, the wind blowing against me, and I got 4 more miles to go groan. A driving beat definitely helps!
Tires, the fuller they are soo much better. I had some airless tires, then used the green goo, am now on regular and need to get some green goo or something, I hadn't thought about it really until just now. great that your tires worked better, nice feeling!
Sounds cozy in the basement with the blowing ten inches of snow! Good going Marlene, good job! (((((((((HUGS))))))))(♥)
I have been riding a few times in the basement, but having some big health issues with 10/10 pain, meaning I could not walk for a few days at all because of my flared knee, and then another few days because of the worst pain I have ever had in my flute.
And the day before yesterday I got a knot in my quads that just about killed me! I guess I am getting old!
