In our last Bible study, we determined that God loves us, a whole lot. He sent his son, Jesus, to die so that we may be redeemed. This is an incredibly valuable gift.
Now I'm going to take a metaphor from the world to illustrate my next point. Out of the blue, a million dollars drops into your lap. No, it isn't funny money, it's the real deal, one million dollars. After generalized rejoicing, the next thought that would pop into my mind is "How am I going to keep this safe?" Someone could mug me, I could lose 100,000 dollars worth of it, I could put it into the bank, but are the banks really safe. The financial markets have been a bit hinky lately...
Thankfully we do not have to worry about how to keep God's love safe.
Bible Message.
In Romans Chapter 8 Verses 35-39 Paul Writes
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry, or cold or in danger or threatened with death? 36(Even the Scriptures say "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep" Psalms 44:22) 37 No despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loves us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't and life can't. The angel's can't and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. 39 Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
This scripture packs a powerful punch. ONCE WE HAVE ACCEPTED THIS FREE GIFT OF LOVE, nothing can take it away from us. No one, nobody, nothing. He is with us in all of our trials, troubles, and worries because he loves us. What a wonderful promise. He can also separate us from our sins "as far as the east is from the west" but that's another Bible study

For me right now I would say giving up everything(worries,struggles ect) and letting myself recieve this great Love. Knowing that God loves me and that this is all for the Good. I am getting much closer just not there yet. :)
I hole I was in was so dark that I wasn't thinking clearly and I believed him. I had keys to the the little store front church and one cold winter night I went there, got the space heater from the bathroom, plugged it in to a corner of the sanctuary and huddled next to it. The cold I was feeling came from deep inside and the heater didn't do much to dispell it.
I talked with God (just as I had been in a regular habit of doing) and told Him I understood if He couldn't let me into heaven but I begged Him weeping my heart out, to help me while I was on the earth for my very small children's sake.
Not long after this prayer I found this verse (I was also in the habit of reading His word) and it was like He put His arms around me and told me SWEET BABY GIRL YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MINE SINCE YOU ASKED ME INTO YOUR LIFE! I was still depressed because going through the recovery process of childhood sexual abuse is the hardest thing I've ever done but I was at peace at the same time because I knew I was His! This verse means so much to me because of this.
1 John 5 v 4
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - Our Faith.
My memories of childhood abuse was difficult to conquer, but I have victory in Jesus!!!!!
