My friend Jenny died last week.It was just so unexpected.She never married.She took care of her mom and was left the house.Jenny had 2 cats and i bird.At the present time from what I understand,she also left no will.But I was asked a good question today...Who will take care of the pets if anything happens to you? Nobody likes to think of this subject and my mother always talked about it.Lucklily,my dog died before her and the town took him.I had a plaque made.I still have it.But that is a very good question..Who will provide for the pets if you pass on or if you get disabled? In some states,pets are considered property and this isnt the case in California.They are considered compansions.I found out that in Washington that there are at least 5 no kill shelters.None of Brads friends have the ability to take care of my cats and Brad does not like to clean up after them.But the cats do love him and when he was drinking..they all hid.Tuffy hates alcohol and she hates beer and she hid under my bed until he got sober.All of the cats are asleep now and they love this house.They are just different cats.Kramer has become more playful and Tuffy has become so much nicer.Little Tooey just loves it outside and they just love it here.There is a book from the Humane Society that deals with this subject.And it must be dealth it.It has to be faced.You dont leave animals on the street or in the road or by the highway.They cant fend for themselves and anyone who does this will never be my friend.The shelters now pick up animals.Please consider it.Or you can adopt the animals yourself but provide for them like the previous owner did.They will thank you.
