I don't believe it anymore. In saying this, I am not directly or indirectly disparaging anyone's beliefs. This business of living is hard, and no one is exempt from it. I know how I felt when someone attacked my beliefs, it was awful, and I wouldn't want to do that to anyone else.
That being said, the circumstances surrounding my situation compelled me to take a closer look at what I had gotten myself emotionally invested in. Everything begged a closer look. In the end, I didn't have enough evidence to support my beliefs.
It's an intriguing question you've posed. I've a philosophical bend to life myself. If you ever want to go down the rabbit hole (yes, quantum mechanics) send me a message. I don't like to bang and beat out such intense subjects in this forum. I wouldn't want to unintentionally hurt someone.
The business of living sure is hard! Chasing the almighty buck, which we all need to live, and which kills us slowly, is crap. The money and political systems of this world are shit. The natural beauty of this world, however, is great, if we have time to enjoy it, in between bouts of chasing the almighty buck! Relationships with each other also seem shit.
Balance. Sometimes a little LESS, of everything, money, power, love, in the sense of a romantic relationship, etc., is necessary to provide for a little better health and time to enjoy what really matters, enjoying the fruits of this planet, natural beauty, the peace and solace found in nature. We all have to get back to living in harmony with this planet. If we do, we'll live in better harmony with each other.
My thoughts for the day.
The only me part is what I can do to make a difference in your life, in our world, and to appreciate what I have. Life has trials, but if you put it in perspective life is a gift to cherish. Spread it, appreciate it, and use it wisely to give it meaning.
Just my rant for today. :) Sharon
I just thought about all my misfortunes, just for a moment & then something made me look at my cat, who was sitting comfortably on the wall, and I said to myself, "My cat has no worries. All she needs is food, water, shelter and affection". She doesn't know why she's here either. But, she does what she needs to do in order to survive. Come to think of it, ALL animals do.
Maybe we are no different. We must do what we have to do in order to survive and make the journey as pleasant as possible. Things we know for sure we can't live without is food, water, shelter and love. Love seems to be the most difficult to get. That's a mystery I would love someone to solve.
I have lost many good friends, and wnder what it is all aout, but that's like. My grandfather used to complain when 100, that he was loosing the 85 yr old friends, so living long has its dissapointments also.
Be well...
