i Usually write every day and try to make all of the discusssions nice and postive.I refuse to discuss politics and such..that happens to be none of my business.But now I do need advice because the doctor wants to try a new medication and after reading about it..frankly kiddies..I am so worried.First of all..my mood is finally stabilized and i feel so much better.This is what medication does.It calms you and such and it is suppose to help you.He took me off my depakote and I was off it for 2 years.During that time,i lost Frank and so much happened.When I saw him again..it was 2 years later because in 2004..In January..my godfather died..2 weeks later..Brads father died.He was laid off from his job and it took him awhile to get another one.Then In August of 2004..I lost my beloved Frank and things between Brad and me werent so good.This doctor increased my depakote to 1000 mg a day and when happened,things happened to me and I was sick every day.He put me back on the other day and then he told me this..I want to try Prozac for you.It is better then Depakote.When I heard this,I began to research Prozac and do you know
that now Prozac just aint safe? Do you know that if will affect the heart and liver? Do you know that you will have bad mood swings? And there is noone here in washington that I can talk to.I asked him about Prozac at the AA meeting.Brad goes to AA and one of the group leaders told me..."Dont do it.It aint good." I still am on Depakote but now everyone that I know who is taking Prozac has told me about the weight,and sudden seizures.Does anyone know of a web site that I can contact? Can anyone who is taking this drug tell me? What should I do? I do not see my doctor regulary.I see him every 6 months.But now he wants to see me every 3 months.So everyone vader is busy now trying to write a more positive discussion for you all..but please tell me who I can contact here..because you just cannot get through and the next appointment to see the doctor will be in December.So anyone who is taking Prozac,can you e mail me and tell me are these reactions true? Will they make me fight and scream? I dont want to do this.Thanks to all.vader

I just got changed to Prozac about 2 months ago, and I have actually been doing alot better. I was on Zoloft, not sleeping much at all, now I feel better and I am actually sleeping a little better too. I also have OCD and bipolar so the prozac was given to me for my OCD. But I have learned , as many of you probably have, that when you start investigating the meds you take, every single one of them will scare you to death. But this is just my side of Prozac, everybody is different. Hope this has helped you a little bit. Take care, God Bless You!! Lori

Thanks for your reply.It is sunday here.It is 1.15 in the afternoon and everything is closed.But after reading about Prozac..it does scare you.He did give me a few samples but told me to take the depakote all this week.So I will let everyone know how it works.Thanks again.Vader and the cats.Guess what? A stray cat just came in the kitchen and ate the food and my little cat chasded hernout!
