I had to wi=rite this column.I have to get my thoughts out.I may lose the house because all my savings are gone and he doesnt want to lower the rent.Brad and i found a lovely house in the Greenwood section of Seattle.It is a wonderful neighborhood.There are 26 cats here.I have got 3 cats living on my porch and the whole neighorhood is great.On 2/25.I was here for 3 years.i have paid my rent on time.I had savings and this month I ran out and I have got noone to help me.I have got 2 cats and i refuse tongive them up.They are not allowed in the shelter.I cant give up for i had them for 12 and 11 years.They are my best friends.They are giving me the comfort that i never had with Brad.Kramer always jumps on my bed and wakes me up at 4 o clock,That is when my day starts at 4 oclock in the morning.I awake and check all of my em ail to see if I got a job.Jobs are hard to get in seattle and I am looking for a room.If i can get a room,things will be okay..but i dont have the money for a move.All of this is getting to me and i feel so depressed.I was homeless for 3 years and it is no way to live.If I become homeless i will still be in touch.The people at DS are the only ones that I trust.And it is amazing I paid rent for 3 years,always on time and he doesnt want to lower the rent.I will never trust him again and I dont trust him now.I dont.And I hope that I havent offended anyone because being homeless and having guilt is on the verge of destroying my mental health.
I will be thinking about you today and praying that your problems will lessen. I think that you are definitely a 'cat woman' like myself. We know what it is to love and be loved by our animals.

There has to be somewhere you can turn for help. Do you have a church you go to regularly?
A lot of churches have a seperate fund to help the elderly, and widows as well as homeless families.
My suggestion would be, to leave your cats with someone you know .. maybe one of the neighbors, since there are so many cats.. you could put an ad out, and tell them, you just need someone to watch them, until you can find a place .
I would try and strip to the bare essentials. Maybe you could sell some things on craigslist, or have a garage sale, and sell some things you dont need .. extra furniture, clothing, books, dvds.. ect...
I would get rid of things like extra cable, internet.. some things you can be late on..
credit cards..ect.
you rent comes first.
I understand your landlords prediciment, and Im sure he feels just as bad not being able to help you, but you have to understand that these properties are investments, and HE has to pay his rent too. If he lowers your rent, that might mean, an unpaid bill for him, or a missed morgage payment.
I know you are struggling, but be assured you arent alone. Im in Fl and I assure you-- its no better here. I have been searching for work since last april, and I have two degrees and a lot of medical experience.
I know many many people who are struggling to find work, here and everywhere, not just in the US, but Eurpoe and other places too.
Hang in there.. keep looking... sometimes going in person from place to place is the best soultion... Catholic Charities, thats the name of the organization, is reputable for helping people with rent, and housing..
