THE CORD
We are connected my child and I,
by an invisible cord not seen by the eye
Not like the cord that connects untill birth
This cord can't be seen by any on earth
This cord does its work right from the start
It binds us together attached to our hearts
I know its there though no one can see
The invisible cord from my child to me
The strength of this cord Is hard to describe
It can't be destroyed It can't be denied
Its stronger than any cord man could create
It withstands all tests - can hold any weight
And though you are gone though you are not here with me
The cord is still here though no one can see
It pulls at my heart I am bruised, I am sore
But this cord is my lifeline as never before
I am thankful that God connects us this way
Mother and child death can't take it away!

A friend I've made from groww.com sent this to me. I met her on the Angels of Addiction chat and several other people... the chat was a blessing... not banal or empty... It helped.
This cord to my way of thinking is secure at both ends... mother to child and child to mother... so if these words help you both mother and child... that was my purpose in sharing it.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
