Keep taking to your mom...she hears you & you need to talk to her...my rules or timetables for grief..
Most recently I lost my cat - who I adopted when my brother died...a big loss...I still see my cat every where I look in our home...my brother has been gone 9 years & I still wave to him in the cemetery when I drive past on my way to work...
Losing a parent is major...
Please keep sharing. The folks here are wonderful & have helped me lot.
It's been about that amount of time for me too though it barely feels that way as losing your best friend and mother is devastating.
I think it's not just grief but a broken heart, and for me the shock and not being prepared, having regrets and all that.
I sometimes forget that it's happened, though how I don't know as we used to text at least every day for one thing.
Just flicking through my photo's I saw pictures of mum again and totally broke down. I've just turned 30 which doesn't help the situation of a daunting future without mum.
I believe that our mums can hear us occasionally and I think that journalling/writing to mum is another important way that I communicate with her.
This loss has brought me to my knees and my life to a stand still. I feel for and with you, and know just how damn hard this is. 5 months is incredibly raw and nothing compared to the life time I've been lucky enough to have with her - it just makes the loss that much more difficult.
