Hello-new here. Lost my first wife of 32 years to cancer in 2010. Remarried in 2012 to a wonderful woman. Life was good again.
Last November she was diagnosed with advanced sarcoma and a very bleak diagnosis. Most of the time, I can cope. I try not to future trip too much. There are times however that are so deja vu. I am starting to wonder if I did something to make God angry with me. (Now I'm starting to feel the emotions just sharing this)
I used to be an oncology nurse, I know the language, the symptoms.
I am 61 and will NOT ever remarry again. (I know, future tripping again). I don't do well alone.

I do not think that God does things like this to punish people. People who know the Bible much better than I do have offered scripture references that back up that point.
We have a casual family friend who was much like you, he lost 3 wives to cancer. He never gave up on love.
I "pre-grieved" the loss of my mother, it was a long time coming. Dad's passing hit me totally by surprise.
