Words of comfort to you for the passing of your mom. And it is no pleasure to have to wait for the comfort you deserve, sorry for that, and many will read your post and silently say a word on your behalf. This group is a sad one, and many there are who are too weak and the conflict of a broken heart interrupts the passion to support. I encourage you to use the history of many stories shared by reviewing previous posts of many of others here at this site; and do this as if these others are reaching out to you on a personal level, for grief is a common enemy. Most of the old posts will be as a devotional journal, based on words of hope, guidance, and peace within similar experiences will provide you with a fresh look forward to your own time of healing.
As your beloved mother's birthday is on this Friday, your deepest need will be to feel the presence of her loving spirit. I've learned that a light heart lives long, indeed so. Perhaps there is a special place for you to rest and recall active thoughts of times you shared with your mother. Have you many of her possessions nearby you? Such as, pictures or recordings? Or favorite songs and movies? Is there a living friend or family to share with you this special day in regard to situations in which your mother was a positive influence in their life as well? What the goal is on this birthday is to distract yourself from self-pity or feeling sorry for yourself. And you have a right to be dizzy and in flux at this time, especially that you are also dealing with the frustration of job loss as well - that's too much of a reminder of defeat, so look out for the pit of pity, dear one. I do feel for you, and I hope to read more of how you are keeping your balance day to day.
So sorry for the hurtful changes you deal with. A good place to center is here at a support community where others may share similar circumstances; we all have some pain of our own and all need listening ears and reading eyes; and I pray for you to be guided to genuine friendly care. Keep in touch with this site and please use your time here wisely. I hope for you much love.
That was encouraging. I think I'll take the journalling advice.
I anticipate a full day of crying tomorrow.
On the matter of meds to cope with your strong emotions: grief treatment is a lifestyle change that comes with certain conditions that only a professional may advise you. Personally, my own situation is guided by my own recommendations. The experts failed me :( Yet you may imagine to try for the purpose of information as your grief is very unbearable to you. At any point, reclaim your health if you're sick. Best is to learn the potential side effects of mourning, and look for various techniques to cope, please don't feel forced to settle by only one or two alternatives. Make preparation for a thorough evaluation with your PCD. Then if this qualified person suggest you are experiencing a serious reaction to your emotional and mental health, pace yourself for ways to isolate what is happening to pain you. Yet use the Internet as a help-mate resource to identify what is challenging the strength of body and mind. Ordinarily many find strength in faith-based religion, which for me is what heals, along with the holistic or natural way to treat or prevent certain conditions. You get to choose what's best for you. Still, tell your doctor or consult a doctor for guidance.
Best to you today! Dose yourself with hugs today, for now this is a racing start to feeling much better :-)
Sending my sincere sympathies on the loss of your mom. I know the pain all too well myself having lost mine two years ago, I hope and pray in time that things will get better for you and the pain will subside.
Honestly though, sometimes it feels like we'll never stop crying, but that's the price we have to pay for the ones we love. I don't think I'll ever be happy again either. Mom left a void in my life. I've discovered, grieving is a very lonely experience. Even though I and others can relate to you because we're suffering too, our grief is still very personal.
I just wanted you to know that your posting resonated with me and I wish you all the best. I also hope your job situation improves. Take care of yourself!
I did cry alot, but I ALSO surrounded myself with ppl who love me. We went to dinner, and I ordered an order of mussels just the way mom used to make a glass of wine. There were lots of stories to laugh and sometimes cry about. But this time the difference is alot of the tears were coming from a joyous yet still a bit tender place and not a "stay in the bed I hate the world" state. Best part of the evening,...going to sleep and mom's cat (now mine) slept on my belly. Not too bad for a first birthday w/o mom. One day at a time.
Ty all again
Blanket of hugs to you!
