hi everyone, my first time on this. im a teenager and my mom passed away just over 2 months ago, some days its 'easier' to try and cope with the aftermath but other times its horrible and the days feel unbearable. im not exactly the popular person in school and i have no friends, when it first happened everyone acted as if they had been my best friend my whole life and as if they missed her so much, they claimed that 'they wouldnt be able to cope with seeing her dead' so they didnt come to her wake as if it was easy for me seeing my mom like that, i dont know how to deal with this, i have no one to talk to. anyone have any advice?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I took a bereavement class after my did died. I was in my early 60s at the time, a bit older than you are now! But that group really did help. I think of grief as being emotions of grief, not stages. The stages model makes me think that I have one shot at managing each stage before I go to the next one. The reality is that stages are more like emotions that we use in reacting to the loss. We can get angry, sad, we can deny that we are emotional, .... the stages.
Another reality is that the emotions, or stages if you prefer, can come and go, and then come again, and in no predictable order. It may be that there are triggers that you deal with, but sometimes we don't fully deal with them, so then when something happens in our lives to trigger those emotions, BAM, we get hit with the same thing all over again.
2 months is a very short time. It will get better in time, but it will take time.
Please feel free to vent here as much as you like.
Gentle hugs
Can you look up any local grief groups in your area?
This is a great online support . However if you could meet people in your town, going through similar loss, it may be even more helpful
Prayers to you too.
I agree that a RL support group might be a big help to you... Friends that have never gone through this type or loss simply won't understand what you're going through.... Another hug and a blessing....xo
