Bereavement Support Group
Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Whether you lost someone recently or it's been years, grief and its accompanying emotions can be complicated to cope with. Join our online support group to connect with a supportive group of people who really know how you feel. Help is right here.
You are still in shock and disbelief.
You are not alone and we are here for you.
I am guessing that is a picture of your beautiful daughter in your avatar (thank you for sharing her with us).
I know it sounds cliche', but it will take time.....lots of time for healing.....so be patient and gentle with yourself as you begin your grief journey.
It is not natural for a parent to bury their child and therefore your life is changed forever ((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))
I've walked this same walk with my parents in the loss of my brother 40 years ago (he was 16....killed in a motorcycle accident).
You will never get over it (sorry)....but you can get through it with the help of other compassionate souls that share a common thread.
I do believe there is a group here for parents that lost a child....but am happy you found us too.
Take care of you and lean on others until you find your footing....and beyond.
No worries.
Dad and I kind of figured it out for oursleves (we had little contact with them, so our evidence was rather slim) in 2014, about 3 months after mom passed away.
Dad was very excited for him, and wanted him to be happy.
Sorry for the long story, but it looks like within 3 years dad accepted it and was happy that his son in law was moving forward. Don't get me wrong, dad loved his daughter and missed her a lot up to the day he passed away.
But he processed it and found a happy place to be.
Gentle hugs
I wish I had adequate words but I don't think there are adequate words. But know this, we care, and there is help if you need it, here and I would seek out help nearby to you also.
Do you have a good support system ? Meaning friends and family ?
Church would be nice, if you do have that.
Though I don't go to church anymore myself ---but since people who do, find great support that way, I mentioned it.
When my husband died (almost 2 years ago now) I did go to a church for that reason.
That particular one did not feel like a good fit for me and I am still thinking to find one that is.
I hope you stay in touch with us here and keep posting when you can.....but if you don't want to, I do hope you have someone to be with, talk with, cry with.
Not knowing if you are even a religious type person please excuse me if my suggestion was off base.
I do know , somewhere , there exists support for you. Hugs.
I don't even know which kind of church I should go to since the faith I was raised in, I do not like.
