Bereavement Support Group
Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Whether you lost someone recently or it's been years, grief and its accompanying emotions can be complicated to cope with. Join our online support group to connect with a supportive group of people who really know how you feel. Help is right here.
Despite the reasons for our meeting, I am pleased to meet you! My name is Pepper, and I am one of the user moderators here on DS. If you have any questions about DS please feel free to ask me.
Everybody processes a loss in their own way. For me, I have come to think of it as managing the emotions of grief; thinking of them as stages led me to believe that I had one shot at managing each stage. But if you call them stages or emotions, there is no real set order to deal with things; we all do the best we can.
I found a grief class to be very helpful. There were people there who managed their grief better than I did, and there were some who were having a very very hard time with it.
I found the the people who tried to be strong for everybody else did the worst, and those who supported others as well as losing it and needing support from others did the best. We all have to find our way.
We are open to be part of your online support network, please feel free to vent, yell, scream, cry, get angry, do what ever it takes to help you process this. As you get to know us, and we get to know you (and the gap between "you" and "us" goes away!) we will know more about what experiences we have that we can share with you.
How much support do you have in real life?
Gentle hugs
I'm constantly being told just pray about it. But I feel like God have bigger problems right now. No matter how much I pray, I feel even sadder, because their are women who can't have children at all. But that's another story.....
Thanks for your words, you're right they are stages and I'm in stage one...hurt!
With time, I hope this hole in my heart will heal.
@Hestiah, thank you as well. My husband and I are trying to put our lives forward and work through this together. We do have family/friends as well to support us, but it will take time to heal this brokenness.
